This website is meant to help illuminate resources and policies related to open data in New York City. This site is being launched in the same spirit as the city-run dataSF.org as well as the community-run dataTO.org and dataOTT.org and is meant to evolve as a community run forum. To bootstrap this resource, the 1993 Public Data Directory and the 2001 Data Systems Inventory are in the process of being digitized and structured to provide a reference for an up-to-date and comprehensive Public Data Directory.
The initial content and structure of this website is being provided by Philip Ashlock and you can view his testimony for Intro No. 29 here on the website.
This website is meant to evolve with the support and interest of the NYC community and I welcome your questions and comments.
